Women’s 2-Piece Polka Dot Set – Lantern-Sleeve Mock-Neck Crop Top & High-Waisted Wide-Leg Trouser – 5 Colors, S–2XL

Two pieces. One print. A lantern-sleeve mock-neck crop top and high-waisted wide-leg trousers with side pockets, both in a perfectly matched polka dot print. Five colorways. Sizes S through 2XL. The silhouette is the point: voluminous lantern sleeves above a cropped fitted bodice above a high-waisted wide leg below — a three-part proportional conversation that is the most deliberately structured two-piece set in this collection.

The print is a classic medium-scale polka dot — uniformly spaced, consistently sized round dots applied across both pieces in identical scale and placement. The dot repeat is the same on the top as on the trouser, which means the set reads as a single designed object rather than two co-ordinated pieces in the same print. In every colorway, the dots are lighter on a darker ground (Black + white, Navy + white, Wine Red + cream) or darker on a lighter ground (Khaki/Camel + black) — always a high-contrast pairing that keeps the polka dot graphic clear, defined, and immediately readable from a distance.

The Lantern-Sleeve Mock-Neck Crop Top

The top is defined by two design decisions that create maximum visual impact from minimum construction: a mock/stand collar and full lantern/balloon puff sleeves.

The mock collar sits approximately 3–4cm above the collarbone — a raised, close-fitting self-fabric stand collar that frames the lower neck cleanly. It is higher than a crew neckline and more open than a turtleneck: the classic mock-neck position that elongates the neck visually while keeping the top’s upper silhouette structured and precise. The collar is the neckline choice that elevates this polka dot set from casual print co-ord to fashion-forward editorial piece — it gives the top a European, considered quality that a simple round or V-neck would not.

The lantern sleeves are the top’s defining feature. They are full, rounded, balloon-gathered puff sleeves that balloon outward from the shoulder in a large, gathered volume — the classic lantern/puff sleeve shape where the sleeve’s body is fully gathered and voluminous from shoulder to wrist, then cinched back to a tight, fitted cuff at the wrist. The cuff is narrow and close-fitting, creating a dramatic contrast with the enormous gathered volume of the sleeve above. The sleeves are long — full-length, ending at the wrist. In all gallery images, the balloon of each sleeve is approximately as wide as the model’s torso, and the polka dot print continues across the full gathered surface. The lantern sleeve construction requires significantly more fabric than a conventional set-in sleeve and is responsible for the top’s strong volume-to-simplicity visual contrast — very large sleeves, very simple everything else.

The bodice is fitted between the mock collar and the cropped hem — it sits close to the body without being tight. The crop length ends at approximately the natural waist, leaving the midriff open between the top’s hem and the trouser’s high waistband. The midriff gap is approximately 4–6cm in all images — a deliberately proportioned opening that is wide enough to read as a design choice rather than a fit issue. The top’s cropped length is the third design element (alongside the mock collar and the lantern sleeves) that defines the set’s proportional story.

The High-Waisted Wide-Leg Trouser

The trouser is built around a structured, flat-front high waistband sitting at the natural high waist — the waistband is approximately 5–7cm deep, clean, and smooth across the front with no visible drawstring, elastic casing, or pleat. The closure appears to be at the back or side — from the front, the waistband is an unbroken, precise horizontal band that creates a clean, tailored waist finish. The high waist is the trouser’s most important structural feature: it balances the volume of the lantern sleeves above and creates the strong proportional contrast that makes the set’s silhouette work.

The wide leg is broad and straight from the high waist to the floor, falling in a clean, structured column. The fabric’s moderate weight and structure give the wide leg a precise, held quality — the trouser does not flutter or drape liquidly but holds its wide shape cleanly in movement. The trouser is full-length to floor-grazing — the hem sits at or very slightly above the floor when worn with the flat sandals shown. The polka dot print is applied uniformly across the full trouser width — the dots continue across the wide leg with no seam interruption to the print at the outer leg.

Side pockets are present and functional — confirmed across all rendered colorways.

The Five Colorways

Black + White dots — The most graphic and the most commercially universal expression of the set’s design. Black ground with clearly defined white polka dots across both pieces. The maximum-contrast colorway: the white dots on black ground are immediately visible and immediately striking, and the set’s structural silhouette — lantern sleeves, crop, high waist, wide leg — is most clearly readable in black because the dark ground gives the shape the most definition. This is the hero colorway (two gallery images). The most versatile for styling: it pairs with any neutral accessory. Best for the customer who wants the boldest version of the set.

Navy Blue + White dots — Deep navy ground with white dots. A classic European polka dot pairing — navy and white has one of the most established and most enduring visual histories in polka dot fashion (Breton, nautical, French heritage). The Navy colorway softens the graphic intensity of the Black version while maintaining the same high contrast and the same dot clarity. The most wearable and the most broadly flattering of the dark colorways. The customer who finds Black too stark or too graphic will almost always find Navy more accessible. A particularly strong choice for the customer buying for a Mediterranean or coastal context.

Wine Red + Cream/Blush dots — Rich wine/burgundy ground with warm cream-to-blush dots. The dot colour in the Wine Red colorway is warmer than the pure white of the Black and Navy — it reads as a cream or very pale blush, which softens the contrast while keeping the print clearly readable. The warmest, most autumnal, and most distinctive colorway in the range. Wine red with cream polka dots has a strongly French, vintage-luxe quality that elevates this colorway above the standard polka dot pairing. The most fashion-directional of the five confirmed colorways and the most likely to photograph distinctively in autumn/fall content.

Khaki/Camel + Black dots — Warm camel/khaki ground with black polka dots — the visual inverse of the Black colorway (dark dots on a light ground vs. light dots on a dark ground). The most editorial and the most fashion-directional of all five colorways: camel with black polka dots occupies a strong position in European and Italian fashion heritage, and the combination reads as more considered and more premium than the conventional dark-ground polka dot. Two gallery images confirm this as a second hero colorway. The most broadly neutral of the five — the camel ground makes the set far more accessible to skin tones that the dark colorways can overwhelm, and the black dots provide structure and contrast without the starkness of a white-ground option.

White — Fifth colorway. White ground with dots (dot colour to be confirmed from physical garment). The freshest and most summer-adjacent of the five. Confirm dot colour before publishing.

Styling Notes

The set is styled throughout with a round woven rattan/seagrass globe bag with a chain handle — a deliberate organic-vs-graphic contrast that grounds the polka dot print and stops the look from reading as costume. This organic-material accessory formula works exceptionally well with this set: natural straw/wicker/rattan bags, woven clutches, and raffia totes all create the same effective contrast with a graphic print. Avoid structured leather bags in the same tonal family as the polka dot ground — the contrast between natural texture and graphic print is the key to keeping the look editorial rather than themed.

Footwear: The strappy flat sandal worn in the gallery images is the right formula — a minimal, leg-baring shoe that does not interrupt the trouser’s long vertical line. A pointed-toe kitten heel or low block heel would work equally well for an elevated occasion. Avoid ankle boots or anything that closes the trouser’s floor-grazing hem, as this shortens the leg visually and compresses the set’s strong proportional story.

Separate styling — the crop top: The mock-neck lantern-sleeve crop top is a strong statement piece on its own. Pair with high-waisted tailored trousers, wide-leg denim, or a midi pencil skirt. The lantern sleeves work best with a simple, fitted bottom — the sleeve volume should be the focal point. Avoid pairing with gathered or voluminous skirts below.

Separate styling — the trouser: The high-waisted wide-leg polka dot trouser is a genuine print statement separate. Pair with a fitted, plain-coloured top in one of the dot’s two colours for a co-ordinated look, or with a neutral (white, cream, camel) top for a more editorial, mixed approach.
